CREATE YOUR HAPPY PLACE
Lately, we can feel trapped by social media that sets all these ideas on how to live, eat, dress, look, even how to feel! My mind was trapped and I didn’t even notice; I spent lots of money on trendy clothes and expensive makeup, and I read articles on what celebrities ate and how they worked out, etc.
I never hated my body or the way I looked, but unconsciously I was losing the real me and started to compare myself to other people. That just made me feel like I wasn’t enough.
I had to go through an eating disorder to realize that I wasn’t happy, and eventually, the road of recovery led me to this new whole mindset that I want to share.
LEARN TO IGNORE NEGATIVITY
These kinds of vibes come from everywhere! From family to the guy you don’t even know next to you. And oh man! People seem to be mad most of the time! But there are lots of things we can’t control or know in this world. Like what if they had a rough morning or they just can’t help themselves from saying all those things?
The easiest way to deal with all of the negativity is to IGNORE it and just be you.
Every time something unpleasant happens to me I ask this question, “Am I letting this ruin my whole day and even ruin it for those surrounding me?” No! Just be easy going, not everything lasts forever, and everything has a great reward after all of the rough time.
People usually tend to stick their normal comfort zone, so don’t let their ideas and fears make your decisions.
Every action you make comes from a decision; whether you are getting a workout done or making a huge change in your life. Just keep the goal in your mind, and how you will feel after doing it. Every effort has its reward. Don’t focus on the hard stuff; focus on the main goal and how you want to feel.
If you are a health foodie, like I am, you’ll know the feeling of being judged by the food you eat or how you prepare it. If that food makes you happy and you know it’s good for your body, go for it! People usually tend to stick their normal comfort zone, so don’t let their ideas and fears make your decisions…. learn to ignore that negativity and do what makes YOU happy.
BE GRATEFUL FOR EVERY SECOND
You are such a fortunate person; love every second of every day and remember that all those circumstances are pushing you to your right way in life.
Everything happens for a reason, if you are having a hard time now eventually you’ll see why that happened. Just to give you an example, my eating disorder lead me to the new mindset I have now. I’m choosing to study what I’m truly passionate about which is Nutrition and Dietetics, and changing cities to give another example.
Also be grateful for your health, family, bed, a good shower, food, and friends… all those simple things in life you usually don’t realize are things that a bunch of people from other parts of the world don’t have! You are such a fortunate person; ignore negativity and love every second of every day and remember that all those circumstances are pushing you to your right way in life.
TAKEAWAY: CHOOSE YOU!
By living in the moment, choosing to ignore negativity, making good choices and being grateful, I have reached a point in my life where I am so happy! I took the path to choose my well being and what makes me happy even though that means swimming against the tide.
I know my weaknesses that I’m willing to work on every day, I know I’m not done growing and I can’t wait to see what life has prepared for me. So I’m inviting you, lovely reader, to choose to be you!
