FLAWS ARE BEAUTIFUL
The idea of being more than enough began when we were kids…
But the programming, conditioning, limiting beliefs and social perspectives and pressures that begin to settle in, so deep that you subconsciously begin to believe them yourself as you grow.
I have personal memories of that specific shift: going from a happy-go-lucky child who was relatively care free, to one that began to doubt, question and even strongly dislike what I saw in the mirror. Little comments from people along the way and the “normal” digs into self-concept that
Little comments from people along the way and the “normal” digs into self-concept that begin to change that beautiful pure, pristine light that we are all born with. It sadly begins to dim slowly… IF we allow it. You do have a choice, this is your life after all! It’s so easy to be influenced by what you see and hear in the world. Your perspective is your reality! How you choose to see things, will become what is actually around you. It’s law of attraction meets the power of the human mind. And powerful it IS.
The TRUTH is: we were born completely perfect. Flaws and all.
Whether you believe in any higher power, the Universe (insert your word here) …you came into this world with a mission and a purpose. And on our mission, we will face adversity and challenges that make us potentially FEEL unworthy. Like we’re not enough… not skinny enough, not smart enough, and completely defeated… you get where I’m going right? I promise you, you’re not alone in those moments. And I also promise you the truth is: you are enough, you are more than enough and here’s why.
4 WAYS HOW YOU ARE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH
1. You have your own purpose.
Every person that comes into this world has their own unique “print” …similar to a fingerprint. We are all here with a different purpose and journey. You are more than enough because you are doing your very best today, on your very unique path. That is enough in itself.
Your journey will never be identical to anyone else’s, ever. Remember this as you walk through your day, and look around you knowing that we never truly know what others are facing. Having compassion for yourself and others, on our individual passages is a necessity for the realization of personal freedom.
2. Perfection is only relative.
In this giant Universe, everything is perfect as is… imperfection only exists when you compare yourself to someone or something else. Comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. Find peace in the fact that the Universe always takes care of you, and you can call upon it at any moment, for a shift in mindset, if you so desire. Let your “perfect” be your own, and not someone else’s. Stand proud in what you are in this moment! That is enough! You’re loved just how you are.
3. Acceptance is the key to happiness.
Accepting “what is” is the key to every aspect of freedom. When we can’t or won’t accept, what is (be it a health issue, body issues, an experience or event happening around you) suffering is bound to occur. Resisting “what is” equals more struggle. This is not to say, be complacent and/or submissive to a situation that isn’t safe or someone who is mistreating you. NO. There are boundaries to be set, and each of us need to find them for ourselves. Boundaries that honor you and your personal journey.
Name what you’re feeling (is it fear? Is it depression? Anxiety? Pain?) and embrace it as part of your journey right now.
By accepting “what is”, you’re saying to the Universe: “I trust you to get me through this. I trust you wholly and completely to guide me to exactly where I need to be”. One example that I see in my practice quite often: Acceptance of your body. Realizing how it is now, at this moment. Recognizing what it has done for you, all of the gifts that it provides you every minute of your life. For example, your senses, the ability to provide you nourishment, speaking your mind, hearing the songs of the day. Your sacred body, the one given to YOU and you alone, is responsible for all of that! It’s a miracle really! Love it for being there for you, and allowing you to live. Thank your body for all that it does do for you.
4. Use your perspective wisely.
Your perception is your reality! Think about that for a moment. Have you ever heard the saying “what you believe you perceive”? Beliefs are powerful, and they will indeed play out in your life, right before your very eyes.
Your eyes display what your mind perceives as real. For example, if your life is comparable to watching a movie on a screen, make the choice in your head to “change the reel on the movie” you’re watching (aka change your life, your reflection in the mirror, or the “bad luck” around you). Find the positive aspects in every moment, focus on those, believe that anything is possible, accept what is and life will start to shift. The feelings of “being enough” will grow each day until you realize how more than enough you really are.
TAKEAWAY: YOU’RE PERFECT HOW YOU ARE
This is your life, right now, at this moment. You are the only one walking this Earth that is in charge of how your life goes in regard to your emotions and your daily decisions. Consider yourself empowered to create the life you want to live! Because you are so powerful… more powerful than we even like to admit or imagine.
Decide how you want this to go, and take action to make that shift. Because you were born with a purpose to be a light for this world. Be the being you were born to be! You’re more than enough, and this world needs you now, more than ever before.
I leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. – Marianne Williamson
